*Sleek Side-Part
STEP ONE Flip head upside-down and blow-dry hair. Gently rake hands through hair, but keep strands from looking greasy by limiting contact with the roots: "Touching your scalp causes it to release natural oils"
STEP TWO Flat iron side-parted locks with one slow movement from roots to ends and spritz with hairspray.
STEP ONE Apply mousse to damp hair, flip head upside-down and blow-dry with a diffuser.
STEP TWO Create defined waves and body by sectioning hair in 3-inch chunks and twisting around a medium barrel curling iron. "This isn't a tall style, but a bit of volume will keep it from looking flat"
STEP THREE Warm a dollop of pomade between your hands and loosely pull your hair back into a low, soft bun. Finish with a mist of hairspray.
*Polished Bedhead
STEP ONE Comb anti-frizz cream through damp hair and blow-dry smooth.
STEP TWO Beginning an inch away from the roots, create loose curls with a medium iron. "Let the strands twist naturally as they wrap around the barrel"
STEP THREE Shake hair out with fingers and mist with finishing spray.
*High, Textured Bun
STEP ONE Apply thickening cream to damp hair and blow-dry with a large round brush for volume.
STEP TWO Mist-in shine spray. Pull hair into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic.
STEP THREE Gently wrap locks to form a bun and hold the updo in place with hairspray and "as many bobby pins needed to make it feel secure"

*Retro-Inspired Ponytail
STEP ONE Spray hair with texturizer and finger-comb strands as you blow-dry.
STEP TWO Center-part the waves and tease at the crown.
STEP THREE Spritz locks with gloss spray and pull hair into a ponytail, leaving face-framing strands loose. "A light mist of hairspray and you're ready to party."

*Soft, Bouncy Curls
STEP ONE Mist well-conditioned hair with leave-in conditioner and volumizer before blow-drying.
STEP TWO Side-part hair and set with large rollers. Curl the bangs and crown backwards and wrap the sides under and down. "The direction of the set is key, because it creates the volume and flow of the finished style"
STEP THREE Once hair cools, work styling cream through the spirals with fingers and spray with texturizer.

Is it me or does Taylor Swift look TOTALLY different with straight hair!? I wish she would change up her look more often, shes always wearing curly hair, winged eyeliner and red lips. I'm mean I'm all for the clasic pin up but she needs to spice it up a little!
ReplyDelete@Ray; Ya, I love Katy Perry's hair here, she always looks gorgeous I think :)
ReplyDelete@Make Up: I totally agree, she's always sporting the same look. I really like her with straight hair, it definitely gives her a completely different look!!
